I like to work in mutually beneficial relationships. I want to make sure I can help you, and that what I can do for you actually is what is needed (not the blanket response “lets redesign your website first for $10k, and see what happens”). Sometimes clients and businesses are one easy step away from a great solution, but poor communication and planning hides it. Check out wikipedias info on “Occam’s razor” which is loosely defined as meaning the simplest solution is often times the best solution.

So, here’s what I like to do, and everything is up for debate/modification, but I like to use it as a foundation for starting new projects:

  • Begin by starting a communication channel, whether that is email, phone, skype, texting, meeting in person or all of the above – and start communicating with me by telling me at least 4 things:
  1. What is your current situation, problems and successes?
  2. What are you looking to change and accomplish? (1 thing? everything?)
  3. Where would you like to end up (goals from our relationship, best case scenarios, etc)?
  4. What is your time frame? (Are you about to miss a mortgage payment and cant pay employees, or just looking to justify an additional vacation every year? Are you in a jam with a tight deadline? Etc. )
  • Once those questions are answered, we will go over our options for working together and brainstorm a plan of action
  • We will then work with you on coming up with an agreement for working together

I have been known for being very creative in making deals to work together. There are 3 basic ways I usually work. They are:

  1. Get paid directly for my services – the details will be negotiated.
  2. Get paid with a mix of cash and future payments based on results (example, $xx plus 50% of sales I generate)
  3. Get paid solely on the success of what I can accomplish for you, getting paid a % of sales

Each of these options has their ups and downs, and certain things will work better for certain clients. Some clients prefer to keep things simple, and trade X dollars for Y service, with a mutual plan and goals set for the results. Others prefer to save a bit of the risk involved, and let the results speak for themselves. Still others have no current cash to work with, and can greatly benefit from giving up a portion of their profits to pay for work provided. I have done all of these types of deals, and had great success with all of them.

I will not proceed with a project unless I know I can deliver results. This makes me very comfortable in getting paid based on results. The main key for me and any client I work with is to have an open method of communication and to make a clear plan for our relationship, both of which we must all agree to.

There is no job too big or small. There is no client too broke, no job impossible, no goal unachievable. If you would like to discuss any project you have, learn more about me and what I can do for you, or would just like to ask a question, shoot me an email. I will personally respond to your email within a few business days.
